Guanidine Hydrochloride is white crystal. The molecular is CH₆ClN₃. It can be used as intermediates in the synthesis of medicines, pesticides, dyes and other organic compounds. It is also used in the synthesis of the anemia drug folic acid and antistatic agent of synthetic fiber. Besides, it can also be used as a protein denaturing agent. As a strong denaturation agent in the extraction of total RNA from cells, Guanidine hydrochloride solution can dissolve proteins, resulting in structural damage of cells and secondary structural damage of nuclear proteins, and dissociation from nucleic acids.
